FAQ – Technical

What are your site requirements?
You need Adobe Flash Player 9.0.115 or above, and have Javascript and cookies enabled in your browser. See below for instructions. To install the latest Flash Player, please go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer. Our videos stream at 596Kbps so we recommend an internet connection with at least 1,000Kbps downstream bandwidth for a smooth playback experience. You can test your downstream bandwidth at http://www.speedtest.net.

I cannot pause or stop the video playing in TV page.
The TV section is where we broadcast our scheduled programs similar to what you experience when watching programs on traditional Television Network hence, there are no pause, stop or other options on the video box.

Videos are choppy and doesn’t play smoothly
For a smooth playback experience, you need a broadband internet connection. If your broadband connection isn’t fast enough, videos may stutter. If you are experiencing stuttering or choppy playback, here are some suggestions that may help:

  • Your video download speed may be slow or inconsistent. Pause the video until the buffer is full and then try playing the video.
  • If you are watching video over a wireless connection and your video is stuttering, try watching over a wired connection or move your computer closer to your wi-fi router for a stronger signal.
  • If you are running any bandwidth-intensive applications on your own computer (e.g. Vuze, BitTorrent, Outlook, other downloads, internet phone services such as Skype, Vonage, MagicJack), you may want to pause these applications while watching videos on Vajratv.com.
  • If you are sharing an internet connection with other people, check to see if they are using any bandwidth-intensive programs (such as those outlined above) while you are watching videos.
  • Pause the video and allow the buffer to reach “full.” Once it’s full, try playing your video again. If the video is still stuttering, you may be experiencing issues with your CPU performance. Try turning off any CPU-intensive programs you’re running, or rebooting your computer. Additionally, you can try running Vajratv in a different browser, or updating your Flash drivers.
  • If you experience video stalling problems only during full-screen mode, try lowering your desktop resolution.

If you’re still experiencing these issues, perform a speed test of your connection. This can be done by going to http://www.speedtest.net and then click on the green Begin Test button to initiate a speed test. Once complete, examine the results. If your download speed (indicated by the down arrow) is below 1,000Kb/s (~1.0 Mb/s), then your bandwidth is fairly limited and higher-quality streaming will more likely stutter. You may also want to contact your Internet Service Provider to get a download speed of over 1.0 Mb/s.
If you’ve tried everything else, please contact us and we can try to look into the issue to see if there’s something on our end.

VajraTV on Roku

How can I add/watch VajraTV on my ROKU?

  • From the Roku home screen, select Channel Store.
  • Use the arrow buttons on your remote control to go to: Religion and Spirituality section.
  • Select the VajraTV channel
  • Follow onscreen instruction

I paid through PayPal but I can’t view the channel. It keeps on showing error message.
This generally occurs when in initial setup or payment process if one leaves the active screen, the ROKU and PayPal connection breaks and our system no longer recognizes the ROKU device. In this case, we have to manually activate your ROKU device. Please contact us.
